Another Rough Start

Remember a few months ago Dottie and Prissy's breeder had an emergency C section and needed help? 8 of the 10 pups didn't make it, but two did. Now Mrs. W is having a health issue and was going to let some pups go she would normally keep, so I bought this one. When she's better (Mrs. W) she can have her back if she likes. This dog has been bottle fed from birth and is such a stunner I couldn't bare for Mrs. W to be parted from her. So yeah, I did it again.

So much for rescue only, yadda yadda. But my heart tells me having this dog here is the right thing to do, even if it just eases a fellow dog lover's brow. So yeah, sometimes I like people too.

The kids are back in town

I was finally able to get the dogs yesterday-this was a tough bit of illness, and I took a few extra days just to rest and make sure it was gone. Sitting in the sun with my dogs, not talking, just being present with them, was the best thing I've done in ages.

I hung some toys in the backyard which they seem to love, especially Oliver and Prissy. Oliver is a monsterous 5 pounds now!
